Google will require political ads on its platforms to disclose when they use AI to create images and audio, in response to the increasing use of tools that generate AI content.

Starting in November, political ads will need to prominently indicate if they contain "synthetic content" that portrays real or realistic-looking people or events.

Google is taking steps to ensure that digitally altered content is clearly disclosed in political advertising. The company continues to invest in technology to detect and remove such content.

Microsoft announces new Copilot Copyright Commitment for its users
